Create Your Own Aromatherapy Bath Bombs
Do it yourself Aromatherapy Bath Bombs for stress, PMS and Insomniacs are a great way to ease one's pains. Bath bombs are intimidating because they can break or crack without the proper ingredients and attention to detail. What if they don’t work?
You will never want anything to fizz so badly once you start making bath bombs. These do.
Begin with these ingredients and then customize them based on your personal desire.
- 1 cup citric acid
- 1 cup baking soda
- 1/2 cup cornstarch
- 1/2 cup light oil such as sweet almond or sunflower
- Essential oils or dried herbs
- Molds – muffin tins work great and so do ice cream scoops
In a large bowl mix together baking soda, citric acid and cornstarch. Stir to combine and break up any clumps. Measure your oil in a measuring cup. Add essential oils to the oil. Pour oil mixture into dry ingredients and stir until you get a crumbly consistency.
Aromatherapy Bath Bombs
Use your hands to compress the ingredients and press into a mold. I like to pack the mixture into a muffin tin. Or you can also use an ice cream scoop to scoop the mixture onto a baking sheet. Let the bath bombs sit in a cool, dry place overnight. Then carefully remove from mold.
Drop one bomb into bath and enjoy!
Store in an airtight container and use within six months.
